Built for Caterpillar 3406E and C15 engines that demand more, the new Stage 4 Cylinder Head from Behind The 8 is engineered to stand up to serious horsepower, heat and pressure.
This fully loaded performance cylinder head features upgraded Inconel intake and exhaust valves for improved durability under higher operating temperatures and pressures. Additional nickel content helps reduce the risk of cracking between the valves, while 30% larger coolant passages and reinforced internal ribs help improve cooling and reduce heat stress.
A stainless-steel fire ring is machined directly into the cylinder-head deck to provide additional protection against head-gasket failure in high-performance applications. An adapter kit is also included.
If you are upgrading your engine with a marine camshaft, performance injectors or a high-output turbocharger, make sure your cylinder head is built to keep up.
